KPMG Remix

What?

A remix of KPMG's corporate song in a "happy hardcore" stylee (click here or see below for a definition), with some additional ragga vocals (partly based on the original lyrics!).

For those not familiar with the original, check out this link, which is where the loops came from. I don't know what they were thinking at the time either.

For anyone who's never heard of happy hardcore, it's like an extreme form of rave music speeded up to a ridiculous tempo, with pounding beats and saccharine vocals. It's therefore the perfect style for a comedy remix.

Where?

Click here to hear the track, which (in the rave tradition of silly names) I've called A Trip To KPMG.

Why?

Basically, to make people laugh (in a good way). I was challenged to do it by a mate after I mentioned all the other remixes by other people who got there first (the jungle mix is very good).

Also, I always thought that the KPMG song was strangely suited to happy hardcore (in a scary way) because of the sugary uplifting vocals. I was surprised that nobody had thought of it before!

Who?

Additional production (i.e. remixing), ragga lyrics and background vocals are by me. The ragga MC (i.e. rapper) was my mate Adam (aka the Ginga Gangsta) who has never done anything like this before!

Credit (if that's an appropriate word) obviously also has to go to the original composer, lyricist, band and producers, whoever they are.
